BENDING & FORMING services for a variety of materials are available. Our Press Brake machines also provides high and close tolerance bending for one off projects or large quantity repetition orders. We use top of the range machinery to create standard perforated metal sheets as well as complex, intricately designed sheet metal parts of various pitches and hole sizes. The bed size of our CNC punch machine is 2500x1250mm.

What is Fiber Laser Cutting?
A fiber laser is a solid state generated laser beam that is transmitted to the cutting head of the machine through a small fiber optic cable. This directed source of light is used to heat the material being cut to a molten state in a very concentrated area, and assist gas, usually nitrogen or oxygen, to push the molten material and create a slit. Cutting with a fiber laser provides numerous benefits over other alternatives, including:
• Higher accuracy than Plasma cutting or torch cutting
• Better edge quality than Plasma cutting or torch cutting
• Faster production of parts – well suited for large production runs
• Lower tooling costs than stamping
• Capability to tackle complicated geometries that a punch press cannot easily deliver

WHAT IS CNC ROUTING AND IS IT RIGHT FOR MY PROJECT? CNC routing is a method of cutting flat sheet materials like MDF, Aluminium, Composite materials, Acrylics and many more materials to specific shapes using a large computer controlled router and a cutting program generated from a CAD file ( Vector format file). The parts can be cut as many times as you like all with the same accuracy. CNC routing unlike laser and waterjet has depth of cut control so we can:

CAN I ENGRAVE ALL TYPES OF MATERIAL? The CNC machine can engrave most materials, but the laser works extremely well with all types of woods, from maple to exotic hardwoods. Each displays a different quality when engraved. Here is a list of a few of the compatible materials you can use with the Rhinoworks CNC Routers:

WHAT IS CO2 LASER CUTTING? A CO2 laser beam is generated using Carbon Dioxide, Helium, and Nitrogen. This beam is then directed to the cutting head using a series of mirrors. Since CO2 lasers operate in the infrared spectrum, they are unable to be transferred via fiber optics. This allows advantages when cutting various types of materials.
A few benefits of using a CO2 laser are:
• Higher accuracy than Plasma or torch cutting
• Better edge quality than Plasma cutting or torch cutting or CNC Router
• Faster production of parts – well suited for large production runs
• Lower tooling costs than stamping
• Wider range of materials that can be cut compared to a fiber laser.
